Editor: When did you start the business?
Trish: 1997
Ed: How did you get into hair design?
Trish: I couldn't afford art school, so I thought I would express my (artful self) this way
Ed:Do customers ask for custom hair design or do they ask you to give them a "different look" and, if so, how do you approach the request?
Trish: Clients ask for a new look, or a good cut. They never use the words custom design. Actually, I'm the one who explains to them that each cut is a custom design, and I explain how I can, and will achieve that, with my experience, expertise and consistency.
Ed: Does television...and the movies... influence the way customers want to look?
Trish: Absolutely
Ed: What separates Trish's Hair Chair from salons in Massachusetts, New York and even California ? Is there a "look" for New England and the seacoast that is different from other areas of the country?
Trish: Not really a certain look, and as far as trendy out-of-state salons I am "up" on the newest fashion with continuing education. I get lots of referrals.
Ed: What do you enjoy about working with your customers?
Trish: They are my life. My friends. It's a very personal relationship between stylists and clients.
Ed: Do different people come through each year for vacations in New Hampshire and do they ask for a special look?
Trish: Yes, but people moving to the area. Not so much passers by.
Ed:What are you looking forward to this summer in Loudon, NH?
Trish: The venue at the track! Let's see
